Well it starts out me wanting to get my tongue pierced once. My mom let me get it done got the papers signed and everything and everything else you have to do to get your tongue pierced. But then I was searching on here a little more. And I decided that I wanted to get my tongue pierced 1 more time thought about it a lot. I kept on looking here on bme and decided I wanted to get my tongue pierced 2 times.

So my mom and I went down to the "Rose pedal" got the papers and she told us to come back around 6 or 6:30 p.m. we went to the bank got the papers signed and went home I had to wait 6 hours. I was getting to a little nerves cause where I wanted my tongue pierced my veins were right there and I was afraid he was going to hit one of my veins in my tongue.

Ok it's finally 5:45 we went down to the parlor. We got out of the car and went in. I was kind of getting a little more nerves. Not much though we went to the counter my mom gave her the paper that was signed by the bank so they knew that my mom was really my mom. My mom signed a paper saying it was okay for them to pierce me. I gave the guy the tongue rings because they take 10 bucks off if you have your own jewelry. I asked my mom if she wanted to watch me get my tongue pierced and she said hell no I'm just going to go wait in the car.

So I fallowed the guy to the back room he went in first and I went in second. He told me to sit in a green chair I didn't like it much it hurt my ass. He looked at the rings and asked me if I got them from there or from the store I said one was from there and one was from the store he told me he was just going to throw though rings away and just give me some new ones. I'm glad about that cause I got them for free.

He washed his hands really good, dried them and put some gloves on he gave me some Listerine in a cup told me to swish really good especially really good under my tongue. My mouth was starting to get numb but that was a good thing. After I was done he told me to spit it back in the cup and throw it away.

He got some swabs and put some green stuff on it put it on the top of my tongue then on the bottom. He said this should numb it. While I had the swabs under my tongue he was explaining what to do and not to do.

Not to do

Smoking

Drinking

Eating anything hot like chilly, salsa, coffee, etc

Chewing tobacco

Sour candy or anything sour

Surgery stuff

Don't eat anything if it hurts to eat it

Don't brush too much

Don't eat mints or use mint tooth past don't eat oranges either that might irritate the piercing and make it swell up and sting.

Things to do

Eat cold stuff like ice, ice cream.

Drink tea, water, etc.

When you eat make sure it's not hot make sure it's cold.

Brush your teeth and the piercing once in the morning and once at night and rinse 6-8 times a day with either Listerine or scope mouth wash make sure when your brushing your teeth your not using to strong of a tooth past.

Treat the piercing like it's new.

Tighten the tongue rings before you go to bed and once you get up.

After all the instructions he took the swabs out of my mouth, gave me some paper towels and told me to wipe of the numbing goopy stuff yuck that was nasty. I wiped off my tongue and throw the paper towel in the trash. He grabbed three needles and told me to pick two so I did as he told me.

He put them down on the counter and took his gloved off and threw them in the trash. He washed his hands again and put some new gloves on. He told me to stick out my tongue and he told me to wiped my tongue off then he told me not to stick my tongue back in my mouth cause then it will just get wet again then he took my tongue ring out and put in a longer one because the two new piercing would swell up and I need to have a longer barbell for the swelling. Put the one I had in the little bag that I had for the other two he threw away. And he picked up one of the needles I chose he told me I had to stretch my tongue out a little further

So I did I had to stretch my tongue out a little further this time and he's all like calm down and pop in went the needle that one hurt more than last time. My ear started hurting and I told him. He told me this time don't stick my tongue that far. He told me to put my tongue back in my mouth and told me to stick out my tongue again and I asked him if he could put some more numbing stuff on my tongue which didn't even come near numbing my tongue and he did we sat there for about five minutes and he took the swab out again.

He took of his gloves after taking the swabs out of my mouth threw the nasty bloody gloves in the trash. Then he put some new clean gloves on he told me to wipe my tongue off again and throw it in the trash. I did as he told me than he grab the other needle and I made a fist because I knew it was going to hurt this time like it did last time.

He pushed the needle through my tongue and I would have screamed but the needle was still in my tongue. It felt like someone just ripped my tongue out of my mouth. He but the barbell in it felt like something cold going through something that was just burning hot and cooling it down.

I screwed the end of the barbell on and told me I was done. I asked him if I could have a paper towel because I was drooling blood and I didn't want blood all over my mouth. I went out to the counter and signed some more papers just what it asked like was it clean when I went in there did he let me choose my own needle.

I walked out to the car and I was in pain my mom looked at me and just shook her head I asked her if she wanted to see it and she said no. So I didn't show her when we were going up to the store cause I was going to get some ice and some ice cream I was looking in the mirror and I seen my mom looking out of the corner of her eye. But I didn't say anything.

When we were almost to the store I asked my mom if she was mad at me and she said kind of I just really disappointed in you. I told her I wouldn't get my tongue pierced anymore. And so she said ok and it was fine from there.

Went in the store got some ice and some ice cream went home made me a big glass of ice water and a big bowel of ice creak yum that help my tongue more I took some pain reliever went in my room ate my ice cream which took me about 45 minutes and I drank my ice water I ate some of the ice which was kind of hard.

Then I went to sleep and now I'm writing this. My brothers think I'm stupid and one of my brothers thinks it's alright. I kind of like it but I don't like it as much as I thought I would but maybe when the swelling goes down and I get some new barbells in I think I'll like it a lot more.

Well if you want to get your tongue done and you want to go threw the pain you should get it done. Each person has a different experience and some people think other people are stupid well if you think that you can just go to hell.

Make sure you know what you want and which person to go to I trust who I go to. That's why I trusted him with my tongue good thing he didn't hit any veins and I am happy the way he treated me he was really nice. And when you get a piercing done make sure you fallow the instructions or it will not be a pretty sight when you get an infection. Good luck if you get it done. In the long run it turns out very well.

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me and I will try and help you out the best I can. Thanks for reading my story.

Note: Rinsing with Listerine or other harsh mouthwash can actually do damage to a healing piercing as well as the surrounding tissues and microbial life.
