Although I am only 13 this is my 3 facial piercing. I have my nose and eyebrow done ...(which I love by the way, and would recommend).And I have had like eight different holes in my ears. Which I only have one set now. To start of I wanted to get my tongue pierced. I thought that was the best piercing ever. And I asked my mom and she said no. Which sucked. Then she let finally said yes...on one condition that my dad said yes also. Which of corse, he said no. So I keep asking and asking him and I got the same answer. So one day my friend Megan was over and I decided to ask him once more. So I called him (he doesn't live with me).So we talked for 20 minutes and my friend was on the other phone. She was saying like its not going to be bad and stuff. So finally he said yes! I was so happy. We called around to 6 places.

The place I got my eyebrow and nose wouldn't do it. So we called this one place. And they said they would. I was so happy. So we planed to go and get it done on that Saturday (it was a Monday).All week I couldn't wait! So on Friday I came home from school and my mom said I couldn't I was mad. But my mom said I could get my eyebrow done. That's the only reason why I have that to this day. But I still love it. Over that summer I keep asking my mom writing her emails begging her to say yes. All summer it was a no. In the end of July I had my friend Megan's b-day party and I had wrote my mom a long note begging her. I gave it to her when I got out of the car to go to the party. So the next day I asked her what she thought and she said yes!!!I was so happy. She said I had to wait until she got the money. Then she said I could get it done for Christmas. I was so happy I was counting down the days. Then I asked if I could get in done in Nov because I wanted to be able to eat Christmas dinner. So we went back and forth on when. I asked her if I could get it done that weekend, because I wanted it before thanksgiving. Because you all know it's the biggest dinner of the year. And she said yes. I was so happy I only had to wait a week!
So on that Friday I had two friends sleep over so they could go with me. So that night I ate like it was my last night to eat. And that next day was the BIG day. I ate a lot that day before I went.
Thank you for hanging in there hers the procedure. When we got to the place which is only like 5 minutes from my house we were met by this really nice lady. And she asked what we wanted and we said we'd like to get our tongue pierced (my 12 year old sister was getting it too, she had her eyebrow done but took it out and she has her ears and nose pierced).So then we filled out paper work and my mom had to sign a paper. Then the lady said she had to go get the piercer, she lived up stairs. So she came down and said it would be a couple of minutes so she could set up. There was like 5 guys in there and I bet they were wondering what the hell we were doing in there : P.Then the piercer came in and asked us if we wanted a smaller ball or bigger ball. She showed us, and we picked the smaller.
So she went in the back to set up a little bit more, then came in the front and asked who was going first and I was. So me and my friend Jill went in the back. The piercer said she was going to pour some Listerine. The brown kind. That tasted really bad. So I swished with that for 30 seconds to a mintue.And surprisly I wasn't scared the whole time. So she told me to sit in the chair. And she told me the procedure. She then told me to stick out my tongue and not for any reason to pull it back in, at this point she dried off my tongue. Then gave me a paper towel in case I droll(which I didn't)then she put the clamps on. Then she asked me if I was okay and I was. Then she told me to breath in then out, then back in then when I breathe out she pushed the needle up.Seriouly it didn't hurt me a bit. Then she told me NOT to pull my tongue in because I had the needle in my tongue. She then pushed the barbell up and the needle fell to the floor. That hurt a little but not much. Ev eryone says that the clamps hurt, they didn't to me at all. She then told me to go rinse with Listerine again which was kind of hard. Because I was scared to move my tongue because I thought it would hurt but I didn't.
She told me the after care and gave me a sheet. She told me no beer for 3 weeks(which is okay since I don't drink)and to eat soft foods, but if I could eat hard food then go ahead. It wasn't hard to drink anything or eat it hurt a little to eat for about 3 days it just took me a while to eat. That night I got it done I was eating beans and chicken. I rinse my mouth at least like 7 times a day. Because I don't want anything to go wrong. The next day I was a little swelled but not bad it hurt a little bit but not bad. I could talk you couldn't even notice I had it done. The piercing cost $40.00
