Well in a nutshell, it all started a few years back when I wanted a center tongue piecing. I wanted one because it was something unique to me. Not alot of people had it, not alot of people knew about it and alot of people thought it would hurt like crazy bad to get it because its the TONGUE!. A few months go by, and it is still on my mind quite a bit, not like a thinking of that every second, but just a urge at the bottom of the stomach to get something new and neat.

A few years go by, a good friend of mine gets his center pierced, I was like woah, cool. I wanted to get it done right then and there, but I sorta chickened out because, well, I was scared. A few more weeks go by and I decided to do a little research into this kewl thing called 'tongue piercings'. And what do you know. I end up on this amazing site called bmezine.com. Kinda funny eh? I started to look at the center tongue piercings, but then and there, I sorta decided that it isnt really for me. Alot of my friends have it, they urged me to get it done, but I just shrugged off the so called 'peer pressure'.

A few hours go by after reading some of the Center Tongue Experiences, but I still cant get the motivation to get my arse down anywhere to get it done. The fire was just not there with it.

I got back a page, and lo and behold...off center tongue piercings. *gasp* what is this? I asked myself. I clicked the picture, and was amazed with these things called Venoms/Snakebites. Browse through as many pictures as I can and start to wonder what it would be like to have a pair of those in my mouth.

Lots of contemplation and putting it off to another day( I was using work as a real good excuse), I got the motivation to go down to Tribosei and inquire about Venoms. Taylor told me the breif lo-down on the procedure, but unfortuneatly at the time, he did not have the right Stainless Steel Balls in at the time. So he put them on order and kept them for me until I was ready/financially set to get them done.

2 Weeks go by and I emailed Taylor and inquired about the order. Good news!, he JUST got them in a few days earlier and was ready to do it when I was. When I read that email my heart sunk yet excited at the same time(it sunk because I have the money, I have a few days off from work, and I had NO excuse to NOT get it done). So after work on a fine Saturday Afternoon, I get my friend TJ to pick me up. I ask him to stop and get some food, because after reading alot of Experiences, I learned that what you have before your piercing is gonna be one of the last solid food you can mow down without having to take your time.

So after I get my belly nice and full of good ol Taco Time, We mosey on down to Taylor's shop. He starts to set up, puts the barbells andwhatnot into the autoclave. While that is going we chatted it up about all sorts of things. Music, and people in general, and of course the procedure that will be done on my tongue. After a few minutes, he said that everyhting is ready and to step into his office!. I sit down on a bench, he tells me to open wide and is looking for veins. Apparentally mine are pretty damn easy to see(which they are) and it didnt take too much time to figure out where the main ones were.

After he found the veins, he broke out the ink and the toothpick to mark the tongue with. A few lines here, a few lines there, a few hooo and a few hummm's. Hes ready to do the first side. The next part was unexpected. Next he asked me to lay on my back. I thought that this was unusual because just about ALL of the other Experiences I read, him or her were in a 'dental' chair. Not this case for me. I didnt really care to tell you the truth. I felt like I was in good hands and confident that he would not screw up.

Ok so once I was all marked and ready to go, he is ready to pierce the right side. He tells me to take deep breaths and that I will feel a slite 'poke' because he wants to angle it right and all that stuff. After he gets it all ready to go, he tells me to take a deep breath in and another out. I thought it wouldent hurt that much, but to my suprise it hurt quite a bit more then I thought it would. I could feel the needle tearing thru my poor old tongue. Ah well, after that side was done, I started to bleed a bit. Nothing serious at all though. Take a 5 min breather or so, take a look at my new acquired jewlery.....I LOVED IT!

Well, back down onto the bench for me. Same thing on this side as the other, except that he went a bit slower, I cant remember why, but he did. That didnt feel the best on the tongue, but what can you do.

After all said and done, he told me what I can eat and what I cannot. I am suprised that I was allowed to eat so many things. After I got my new pair of Venoms installed, we chatted it up fer a bit and all that fun stuff. I paid him and I was on my way home with a awkward feeling in my mouth, but knew it was going to be an amazing feeling/experience in a few weeks.

All in all, this experience I had at Tribosei with Taylor was a very very good one. The place was in very good condition, he showed me his sanitation room with the autoclave in it, and he changed his gloves constantly when he touched something other then my tongue or the jewlery. I think if you know what you want, and you are ready to do it, nothing should stand in your way. Unless it absolutely HAS to. The whole time I was in Tribosei talking with Taylor I felt very very relaxed and was not a single bit nervous during the whole thing.

Now around 12 hours later, I may not be able to speak all that well when I need to, but its only temporary. I just got to figure out how to eat again and work on my s words.

Goodluck to anyone in the future which wants this done, it will be something that you will not regret!
