Alright, well a bit of background knowledge on me and my tongue piercing... A year and a half ago, I got one centre piercing, a year ago I got another centre piercing, so I had two..... I didn't like the back one, because it was crooked, so I took it out 5 days ago (mind you it STILL hasn't closed up) and I decided that I wanted to get venoms because they look funky and yeah I just wanted them.... So tonight that's what I went and got done, and heres my story...

Anyway, I got there and the piercer was doing someones tattoo already and I had to wait an hour, so I went out and ate my maccas with my brother and my friend. Anyway, when he said I could come in, there was a lot of people in there. Most people were pretty interested in what I wanted to get done, which I can kind of understand. Anyway back to what happened.
I lied down, and he examined my tongue and then told me where he wanted to put them, he didn't bother marking them out, because I said that he could position them where he thinks is the best place, and the best to avoid veins. The process took less than 5 minutes. Honestly. Besides all the checking of my veins and making sure everything was safe, the actual "painful" part only took less than 5.
He put the clamp on, his brother held it up and in place for him and then he put the needle through then put the ring in and I put it back in my mouth... I rinsed with some Listerine and showed the 7 people that were standing around watching me. Then I went back down, the clamp came on and I got another needle through and the bar was in... He said I could come rinse out my mouth and I felt like I was going to hurl.. as I have with every one of my tongue rings. Except this time I made this really horrible sound and my brother thought I hurled, and I have to admit it sounded like it... But I managed to hold it off. Then I rinsed heaps with water and Listerine and then shorty asked if he could see my tongue, then I showed him and apologized because I almost drooled on him... He just laughed but he was pretty happy because mine were the first venoms he's done.
Back to my macdonalds, when I left, all I could taste was big mac... after all that Listerine.. I could only taste big mac and it didn't taste pretty.
My words of advice to people wanting to get venoms... do it! And don't be a pansy and get them separately, get them both at the same time, it's virtually painless... It's just starting to hurt now! But my slurpy is really good for that.
So yeah, naturally, when I got back into the car, I looked at them... they look awesome. There is one right at the front, and then there is the 2 way back in my mouth. if you curl your tongue when they're in a triangle shape, they make me look like a snake.. I'm guessing thats why they call them venoms. ok, so it's now been 3 hours since I was jabbed, it hurts a little bit, and yeah they have swollen, but they haven't been nearly as painful as everyone makes them out to be. I was lucky because my piercers done them quickly, so my tongue didn't have time to swell, so I have to thank them for that... One is about 1/2 a centimetre back than the other one, which i'm not that happy about, but he did a great job avoiding my veins, so I don't care in the slightest, because as he put it to his brother (See those 2 veins, if I hit either of those, she'll bleed to death) And mind you, thats not the greatest thing you can hear from your piercer, besides "you sure you wanna get them bot h done at the same time?" "yeah, i'm sure" "Alright, as long as you reckon you can handle it".
All in all, I suppose you can say i'm happy with how everything turned out, I like them because they arn't that popular and they're still tongue rings. I have to work this weekend, for 3 days and i've got school.... Doing it with 2 new rings is gonna be lots of fun, but alls well that ends well I reckon...
In summary, venoms look cool, feel weird and freak out people. Get Them Done =)
