When It just happened
I'm a 15 year-old from a wonderful small town in Canada, dont even need to get into that, but I'm writing about my venom expirence. I've been viewing BME for about 2 years now, always looking for something new and different to do.. I've done so far a 8g conch to lobe orbital, 14g tongue web (twice) and each side of my nose (16g). One fine day I was viewing like always and I came across the "Off-Center Tone Piercings" Gallery. I clicked, being curious. I'm sure I've seen this gallery before.. but I've never actually consitered a tongue piercing because I always thought of them as main-stream and slutty. But this page was like a wish come true, I saw venoms and instantly fell in love, I'm a sucker for semetry, so I knew this piercing was for me.

A few days later the ball popped out of my CBR from my orbital, and I thought this opertunity was perfect to ask my piercer about venoms. I went in and got a sparkly blue ball for my CBR, then asked my piercer if I could get 12g venoms done. The instant he heard the word "venoms" his face lit up, he has a true love for piercing, but something about putting more then one bar into a girl's tongue just does something for him (haha). He said (like a little child) "Seriously?? you mean tongue venoms, right? Yes, I can do them!! well, stick out your tongue, let me have a look first.." I did, and he excitedly told me I was perfect for the job and then asked if I was getting them done today, I told him I couldnt because of a speech I had coming up but I would come in later that week and get them done.

So later that week I decided I finally had the guts to go get them done, I drove to the local McDonald's with my best friend, Anna, and had a Big Mac, fries, chocolate shake, and half her chicken nuggets knowing that this would be the last solid food I ate in about 2 weeks. We drove to the bank and I got $100 out for the piercing and tip (dont forget to tip! it makes a piercer's day a little brighter!) and we drove to the studio to get pierced.

Anna went before me since I dont think she could go through with getting her septum done after watching me get my tongue done twice, so I watched her face while she got that done (quite amusing). Then it was all my turn.

I hopped into the dentist's chair which happened to be bright green -my fav color :)- and started the wonderful procedure.

Mark asked me to stick out my tongue for marking, which I make a corny joke about to make him giggle. He marked them a little close so I told him I wanted them closer and after about 2 times of that he had them perfect. He was changing gloves throughout the marking and he did through the whole piercing, just to tell you now. He pulled everything out of it's proper drawer, showed me in it's indivudial packaging, and opened it onto his tray. He clamped my tongue (which doesnt hurt that bad, just to tell everyone) and slid the needle through, it was weird though, because I could feel the needle literally slide through my tongue and hit the cork. After that he slid the barbell in and the same feeling with it, no pain, just a weird sliding feeling. He clamped the other side and did the same thing, it had a slight sting to it but again mostly just a weird feeling of something going into your flesh that doesnt belong. He told me he was done and I paid him $60 plus a $20 tip (I love him to pieces and he really did a great job) and we were on our way. Anna and I stopped at the local grocery store, showed our new piercings off to a few of our friends, and I grabbed a giant bottle of alcohol-free mouthwash and she grabbed a container of sea salt. My tongue felt a little heavy and I could feel my heartbeat in it, which I thought was kind of fun.

That night we went to the movies and had a great time, alot of my friend are completely amazed I got this done, not because I'm not the person to get it done, but because they knew my parents would kill me. Twice. But I had a great time and decided it was time for me to go show mommy.

I went home and sat down at the table where my mom was reading the paper at about 11:00 PM (odd family I have). I told her I had something to confess to her and showed her my tongue. She looked faint for a second, then told me she didnt mind it because it wasnt noticable and easy to hide. I was pretty damn happy right about then. I had some chocolate ice cream (swirled it till it melted them slirped it down) and a glass of water. The next few days I rinsed with mouthwash like it would keep me alive, and I guess it kept my venoms alive. They never gave me any real horribly pain, and only swelled for about a day and a half. I love them now and am even thinkin about getting another pair behind my originals (my tongue it pretty long and there's alotta space in front of them). I keep my 7/8 12g SS barbells in them at all times, but I have 2 sets of balls I wear, steel balls with green gems in them and dark green nobium spikes. I love my venoms to death and hope I never have to ta ke them out, they are my favorite piercing and I recommend them to anyone who has the slightest want for them!
