Where should I start my story at hmm.... well I had wanted to get my tongue pierced for a pretty long time, my mom wasn't exactly going for it...but soon after I turned 18 we made a deal that I would get it done around July as long as I thought it out longer. She's always told me that I could do what I want when I moved out, come to find out I was moving in less then a month, so me and 3 other people at work thought it would be a great bonding experience before I left. I decided to go on a Thursday because that is when I got paid. I was at home when I got a phone call. Beverly the other girl I was going with said she would give me all the money I needed if I went with her today "Monday" to get it done. I agreed I would take her, that way it made for a less anticipated week. I went in and filled out all the forms. I called a friend and had him meet me there because he wanted to share this experience with me. So Ron and I go in, and Jesse makes u feel really at home. He's a great guy "iv went to this studio when I got my tattoo done by Chris, awesome job btw" and I had already gotten 2 cartilage piercing done. A 14,16ga and my navel were pierced. Less happy experiences, but the pain factor didn't bother me too much but enough for the adrenalin to pump as I watched him prepare everything. I washed my mouth out with Listerine. Sat down. He told talked to me the whole time...made me feel at ease. He told me not to control my drool just to let it go, so I did, it was over in less then a min. Painless. It didn't bleed. Didn't hurt. It was awesome. I jumped off the table being so happy bout it. He got alarmed and thought something was wrong. And I had to grin cause he was concerned went and looked at it in the mirror. It was defiantly me!! I talked for about 30 mines after I got it. Then decided I should shut up cause it was swelling. But that was as much as it swelled just for the one night mostly. It swelled little bits but not much sucked on a lot of ice. Took some Motrin. And all was fine. I ate the next day even. Chicken fingers and French fries. I think that whomever wants to get their tongue pierced should just do it....:-)

The swelling only lasted a week tops, not even that long. A few hint to anyone who gets it done, ICE CHIPS are your new best friend! I ate them constantly and it seemed to reduce the swelling. Take care of it and follow your pierces instructions to the T. .Iv had Cartilage piercing and my navel pierced and also a tattoo on my left sholderblade out of all of my moods I would have to say my tongue was the painless of them all. I'm considering getting another tongue piercing right behind my first one. I'm trying to think of some other questions I had before I got my tongue pierced so that maybe I can help you in anyway, my main concern was. Does it hurt, the answer is of course there is a hollow needle being pushed through soft fleshy parts of your body, but no it doesn't hurt as much as some people make it out to, I honestly say it was minor pain. If i had to choose a piercing that was the worst experience i would have to choose my navel. I decided to get it done when i went to the beach. It was a spur of the moment thing, and i used a friends ID to get it done, Them not being able to tell the difference between my friend and i should have been a clue not to get it done there. But being a teenager i was persistant. They did it to deep and now i have the bumps. They seem to be getting better, but now i have tons and tons of scar tissue. I also have to say that would be the mod that hurt the most. My tatto is on my upper left sholderblade and it stung but i dont believe it hurt that much. I want to get my hood pierced next but i have to find out more about the specific piercing before i do. Iv i give anyone advise, that would be research the piercing you want on bme for a fair amount of time before u decide thats what you want to get. I suppose thats just what you had in mind cause your reading this right now.
