Well, how should i begin. I've wanted a tongue ring ever since the first time i saw someone with it.I had gotten my belly button pierced at 16 by one of my close friends, i was too young to get it done proffesionally and my friend was very good at piercings (she had done a million on herself) so i trusted her. My belly turned out great and i still have it and love it!I got my eyebrow done at 17. I got it done at a shitty place near my house and it was such a hassle to take care of, it got pulled by my hairbrush almost daily and hooked on tree branches and clothes. It took forever to heal cause i kept hitting it on things.My eyebrow ring grew out in 8 months and made me very upset.I had basically wasted money on something that was nothing but a burdon to me!All i have left of my eyebrow ring is a nice scar on my right eyebrow that looks really crappy.

I was determined to get my tongue done. Two of my friends had gotten there tongues pierced at a little place called A1 ,and said that they were soooo clean,the price was cheap, and that they did awesome jobs,so i took there advice and planned on A1 to be my tongue piercing place.I started looking on internet websites about tongue piercings and wrote down every tip and hint on the piercing so nothing could go wrong.I found some very useful stuff which made the healing alot easier.I wrote down all the do's and dont's of tongue piercings to help me know what i can and cant eat and how to take care of it.
The day of the piercing i got in my pretty saturn and picked up my boyfriend jimmy who was there for moral support. Even though i had previously gotten piercings done,i was still very nervous. The whole way to A1 i jammed my favorite songs to get me psyched for the event. We arrived at the place and we went in the door to approach many people with smiling faces. I immediatly felt comfortable and my butterflys in my tummy went away.I told the guy i wanted my tongue pierced and he handed me a pen and paper.I filled out a small form and showed my I.D.He photocopied my I.D and handed it back to me. As soon as i was done signing i was on my way to the back room. I followed the guy into a back room where i sat on a chair and was told to rinse with this yucky mouthwash. I sat back down and was told to put my head back. He examined my tongue,dried it off and placed the clamp on. He took the needle out and pierced me from the bottom of my tongue to the top.It was all done!! It took all of 3 seconds and it was totally painless! He put my lovely new tongue ring in a secured the balls. I rinsed with the yucky mouthwash again and paid at the front desk. It was over! I had a tongue ring! I was full of smiles walking out and when i got in my car i looked at it. It looked perfect!I bled a bit for like 2 minutes but after that it was fine, it barely swelled at all! It was all together a great piercing experience! And i advise that if you live in the south jersey area and want a piercing then go to A1 tatoo & piercing in Franklinville, you wont regret it! Its been 1 day since the piercing and i feel great,ive been eating everything i'm supposed to and staying away from foods i cant eat.Its kinda tempting when you see a bag of chips or a nice hot pizza,but you just think of how great your tongue ring will look when its all nice and healed! I'm already addictes to playing with it and i look at it all the time, i cant wait to show it off to all my friends at college, they will love it! The only thing that sucks is i cant open mouth kiss my boyfriend for 2 weeks!Thats such torture but i know in 2 weeks kissing him will feel awesome!
This is the best piercing i got and if your kinda unsure on whether to get it done,i can just say, GET IT! you wont regret it! Just make sure its at a clean place and that you take care of it! If you do that then you'll have no problems plus a beautiful tongue ring!
