Well, it all began simply enough with my first tongue piercing, and it quickly grew into a need for another. I had been pondering three different shops in the area, and i decided to go with the one that did my first. He had done a great job before so i figured he would be the man for my double. So me and my brother commandeered a friends truck and drove to the local shop. I did not plan on getting my double that day...but i explained to him what i wanted, and that i wanted a slightly larger gauge and i wanted it up front.

So i continued with the original piercing procedure, rinsed out my mouth and sat back. I had my 12g slave in, so i had to flip it back in order for him to pierce it. I noticed that when he started he was going from the top to the bottom instead of bottom to top like before. So he clamped me, and started working the needle through...and i could hear my tongue crunching, and it hurt badly...much more than the first.
I noticed he was very rough with my tongue and i figured the tip was just a tougher piece than further back.Well it felt normal enough..so i was happy and i left. I noticed that it hurt really bad on the way home, but it didnt bother me much. Well the next morning I woke up and i couldn't talk at all, and my tongue was very very swollen. Well I quickly rinsed it out and started to examine it, and i had developed scar tissue..and it seemed rather early for that. But i didnt worry and went on with my usual day. The next day I looked, and i had a humongous piece of tissue hanging from my tongue. It wasnt scar tissue and it looked like meat more than anything. So we examined it closer and found that the artist didnt finish cutting out the meat completely. Well after that dropped, I woke up to a mouthful of blood, but the pain had subsided completely it had been three days and this seemed odd. Well after the swelling went down which took about eight days, it was still sore and it still is after ten days.
I had always thought it loked crooked, but i thought that the swelling was causing it to look that way..it swelled that much.
Well it turned out to be very very crooked, and slightly off center but I am still happy with it anyways..it is still sore but its been almost eleven days and it is starting to begin its regular healing. Which is a relief..but all is going well now and i wouldn't mind a third, but that will wait til i get some other things. I had planned on going to gib for my nipples but I doubt i will now..I feel he could have done much much better on my double, but yet he didnt. We also noticed my tongue was very badly bruised on both sides of the tips, we finally came to the conclusion that it was from him being so harsh with the clamps, and dismissed it. I am still happy with it and im glad i have a buddy for my first piercing. It was funny coz the first real food i ate was spaghetti, and the noodles got tied around my tongue rings and tied them together, which was not plesent, and I still have to get used to the feeling of a barbell resting on the back of my teeth, but I actually like my lisp I have developed, But its funny because I felt so comfortable with gib doing work on me..he was very good at explaining things, and always made it very clear how it would heal. But this time his description was way off, I will say this has been the most grueling 10 days of my life,and ice cream does get very old after the 5th day. I just felt rather cheated in the matter, and i wont go there for work again, but i will say he only charged me forty at the end of it all, and it kinda makes me wonder if he knew. But thats just suspicion talking and nothing more..I would trust him with my ears...but never my tongue or anything else again.
