I'm a seventeen year old girl from Finland. About three years ago, at summer, I went to visit my friend to Estonia where she was on holiday. I went there with my other friend for a weekend. We had know idea what would happen to us on that weekend. We hadn't planed it at all.we hadn't even discussed of it before our journey. of course piercing had came out in our past discussions.

A second we discussed about it and decided to get ourselves piercings. Except the friend who we had came to visit. my other friend (am i confusing you?) decided to take one to her lip, and I, who had dreamd about a tongue piercing for a while, had one to my tongue. My tongue piercing obsession started when I saw one on Prodigy's singer's tongue (is his name keith...hmm).
The "studio" was above a hairdresser and we didn't actually know where to go when we went inside the building. at first we went to the hairdresser but the owner guided us upstairs. we went inside and a man was making a tattoo for some lady. we waited a while. another lady came to us and asked what we wanted and we asked if they made piercings there. then the man who was making the tattoo came to talk to us. at that time we didn't ask much. we just made an "appointment" and probably asked about the cost...I really can't remember.
Well, the fun part is just beginning. we went there the next day and talked with the owner about the piercings. they also gave us some magazines of piercings and tattoos.we were both quite nervous.
we heard that the guy who was going to pierce us was a doctor, but he had gone to the beach and was just coming so had to wait a little longer.
We talked a bit more about the technics which they were going to use when they would pierce us...so they told us that they had only "rings" for the piercings and they would use local anesthesia when they'd pierce...well...hmmm. at that moment we were thinking of running away from the scary surgeons.
The doctor eventually arrived. a few moments later a was lieing on a ...like a dentist's chair and the doctor was poking my tongue with an anesthesia needle. after that I just had to wait for the anesthesia to start working. at the same time a scary looking guy with stubble on his chin and a black leather jacket on started to ask me questions about piercings. you try to speak anything with a anesthetized tongue!
When the doctor started to pierce my tongue he didn't even have any "crotches". he just starter to pierce my tongue from the both sides of my tongue.nice. quite a lot blood my tongue contains.
About ten minutes later I had a ring on my tongue. again, it was very difficult to speak...heyh.
they didn't actually give me any cleansing fluid...so I had to go to a liquor store to get some "cleansing fluid". ;p
when we arrived home to Finland I told my parents about my piercing. they weren't very fond of it...a big argument started and at the end of it I took my "ring" of and threw it before my parents.Oh,I'm a drama queen. I was vey angry with my parents for a while. Authorities....plaah. My friend also had to take the piercing of, but she had a new one a few weeks later. now she's thinking of taking a madonna piercing.
when you ask me of the quality of my piercing, I can't tell you much about the healing of it because it was on my tongue about two days. niisk. the "ring" was actually quite fun...well...i couldn't eat with it properly. But the "studio" was a bit scary and also the persons at there.in the future we should know better. Take an advice from this. - Don't go to a piercing studio which is located above a hairdresser - heh.
Well, about three years has past and know I have had a tongue piercing for one and a half years and a piercing on the right side of my lip almost a year (except my parents don't even know about my tongue piercing...I'm also a little girl who is a bit scared of her parents... :) I just want to test how long can I keep it as a secret). these have healed vey nicely. I haven't got any promblems with them. I'm just eager to have myself pierced some more!
Those piercing experiences weren't so strange as my first one and I believe the future ones won't be either.
