Well, I got that around May. Originally, I was just going to get another cartilage piercing above the one I already have, but then I found BME (thankfully), and I was looking through all the piercing stories and what have you, and I couldn't really figure out what I wanted *GASP!* That's probably because I desperately want my lip pierced, a vertical labret in the middle, and maybe two snakebites on either side. That's truly where my heart is, but my parents "won't pay for my college if I get any holes in my face" -_- I guess I'll wait...
So anyway, one day I was with my friend, who I had been talking to about getting some type of ear piercing with me. She had already decided on her tragus, but I still couldn't decide what I wanted. Jokingly, I was like "HEY I want to get right here done!" and kind of grabbed onto that piece of cartilage right above your tragus, and a little before where they do daiths. But, as I thought more and more about it, I really wanted to get it done. I had never seen anyone with it before really, so I thought it was pretty original. I looked at the cartilage piercing pics and actually found a few pictures of it! A few were placed too high for my taste, and I liked the look of little barbells better than rings. Now, I finally figured out what I wanted! Oh, I also decided on getting my second lobe holes pierced, I figured it was finally time for that.
M'kay, so on Wednesday (today is Saturday) my friend finds out that her mom is getting off work early. My mom was going to get off at like 5, yes! *sings* we're going to get piercings, we're going to get piercings! We had been working all that day and hadn't eaten anything, so we told are moms we really needed to get something to eat before we went to Red Dragon, where all of the people are really nice, and we've went there before so you kind of know what to expect. So we eat at Ukrops, where I try to convince my mom to get her ears repierced, as they have closed up since she doesn't usually wear earrings. She was too scared, but then she considered getting a tattoo for some reason? hah. We left Ukrops and we were on our way!
I didn't start to get nervous until we actually walked into Red Dragon. It kind of smelled like old people, haha. The man asked us to see our IDs and what have you, and he said Lyn would be out in a second. She did my other cartilage piercing, so yay. She asked us what we wanted, and I like grabbed the place I wanted again haha, and I said my second holes. My friend said she wanted her tragus, if she doesn't get too scared =P so Lyn was like "okay cool" and asked what kind of jewelry we wanted. So she went to get the stuff ready. It's a bit odd because piercers usually open stuff when you get in there, right? She opens all the stuff when you're in the waiting area place, which I'm not complaining about because I would chicken out if I saw the needles hah. It didn't feel like we were standing there for long before she said I could take one other person back with me...
We go into her piercing room or whatever, and she told me to sit down on the doctor office-like table-chair thing, which was leopard print *wiggles eyebrows* and she cleaned off my ears with that stuff that smells like doctor's office, not sure what it is. Then she marked a place for my cartilage. I thought it was a little too high, so she moved it down some. When she marked the places for my lobes, she asked if I was going to stretch my first holes any bigger, since they're at a 6g now, and also if I was going to be stretching my second holes. I told her I would probably be stretching my first ones to a 00, and I wasn't sure about my soon to be ones. So she made the little marks to have enough room for my stretching-ness. She took a really long time to make sure the placement was all right, which is good, and she looked terribly funny going back and forth trying to look at my ears. They looked pretty good. Then, Lyn asked me which one I wanted to do first, which wa s my cartilage. So here comes the fun part!
She told me to lay down and kind of tilt my head to the right, because I was getting the left ear done. Not sure what she was doing, but I didn't really care. She asked if I wanted her to let me know when she was about to do it, and I was kind of nervous so she said she'd just kind of surprise me. I could feel her making sure the needle was in the right place and what not, then it was like BAM NEEDLE GOING THROUGH YOUR SKIN! It was nothing compared to my other piercing for some reason, and it was so quick I was like "...did...did you get it through? is that all?" and then it got all warm and I was like "ooh I kind of like this" and they both laughed (being Lyn and my friend). The jewelry hurt like *insert favorite cuss word here* when she was putting the ball on since she had to twist it. It was sooooo cute!
Then, time for my lobes, uhg. She put clamps on these, and the first one wasn't really too bad, but when she pierced the second one, I said a few choice words that should probably not be said on here, haha. That one hurt worse than the cartilage, but that was probably because it was the third hole made on my ears in like 5 minutes. So she put the jewelry in and all that jazz and told me to get up. When my friend saw my cartilage she wanted to get the same thing since she was scared of getting her tragus pierced. So when she got hers done, she liked how it felt after, too, and said it was kind of like your ear just drank alcohol XD. She did leave a mark on my hand though... Lyn told us to go out there to our moms holding our ears and be like "she can't get the blood to stop!" Really, there wasn't much blood involved. Anyhow, my adventures cost $50, then I gave her a $10 tip because I loved her so much. That could possibly be because she had just put more metal in my ear s...
I ended up hitting it a few times on the telephone, which she warned us not to do, but you know how easily you forget. Also, yesterday, I got a little ball with a rhinestone on it to put on instead of the front ball. When I was trying to get the ball off, apparently I tried to hard, even though I didn't even get it off. So now it hurts to smile :( but I say it's totally worth it. I can move my lobe ones around, but they're all crusty. I think my other cartilage is jealous, so it kind of hurts. Or maybe I just slept on it...
I love my piercings! :D
This pic is for that free t-shirt thing (hahaha), but it was a good pic of my ear (like 2 hours afterwards):
