One afternoon when my girlfriend, Sarah, and I met up with another friend of ours named Meredith at the mall. We went shopping for a while and I had noticed that she had at least four piercing on each ear and I was really jealous but didn't say anything at the time. We all decided to buy a mouse and took the bus back to my house. There, we ended up drinking a couple beers each and took a couple valiums as well. I didn't think that I was feeling anything or that I was drunk/high at all but I could tell Sarah was and so was Meredith. Sarah really wanted to get more ear piercing and Meredith agreed to do it since she had done it to other friends before. After she did two on each of Sarah's ears, (plus the original one piercing on each ear) I really wanted some too.

All my life I have hated idea of piercing, when I went to get my ears pierced when I was about 10 I chickened out and didn't get them done for real until two years later. But the weird thing is that my mom never mentioned that she was against me getting double or triple piercings but I know that on many occasions she had said that they looked trashy and that she didn't like them so when I was going to get them, I knew I couldn't let her see them. This would be fairly easy considering I almost always wear my hair down over my ears.

So easy as that I iced my ear, then Meredith took a safety pin and stabbed it through my ear, then I wiped away the blood with a wet tissue and stuck a simple stud earring into the new whole. Trust me, after that I knew I was drunker/higher than I thought being that the piercing felt like nothing at all (except for a weird "pop" sound) and I wanted MORE.

Meredith had to go home so we took the bus back to the mall where her mom picked her up but realized that the bus that we were going to take home wasn't coming for another forty minutes. So sitting by the bus stop on the side of the road, I pierced Sarah's ears twice more on each ear (making a total of six piercings per ear) and pierced my own ears twice more (making three on my left ear and two on my right ear.) All of this was done with a safety pin after we iced the ear lobe for a bit. (I had brought ice, safety pins, and extra earrings with me because I had a feeling we were going to need something to do while waiting for the bus.)

The next day when I looked at my ears I noticed how un even the third piercing on my left ear looked so I took it out, iced it again, and decided to re-pierce the ear to make it more even. Of course now that I was sober it wasn't so pain free. It took a lot more effort that I thought it had the day before so the pain was stronger but I was glad I did it because if I hadn't it would still look bad to this day. Also I thought that my ears didn't look right with only two piercings on one and three on the other, so I decided to triple pierce my right ear and again it hurt.

For the next few days my ears were sore and were swollen, mainly because they were getting slightly infected. One of my close friends gave me her bottle of ear cleaning solution, which helped quite a bit. Another thing that helped was that I spun the earrings around in my ear so that my ear lobe wouldn't try and close up around it.

I was able to hide my ears from my mom for about two months which was surprisingly easy to do, she only found out because I had put my hair in a pony tail one day and she decided to pick me up from the store instead of letting me take the bus, which was something I normally do. My dad found out about three days later when he was driving me to school and my hair was behind my ears. All he said was "nice earrings" but he probably assumed my mom had let me do it and didn't want to sound like he didn't know or hadn't noticed which was pretty funny.

Over all, I highly recommend anyone who wants this piercing to get it because it is pretty easy to do at home or anywhere for that matter. Although, I do suggest people to go to an actual place to get it done because a safety pin makes it hurt more and it isn't always sanitary. Also, if your friends are going to do it make sure they are sober because the one piercing that Meredith did is still slightly crooked and makes it hard to put the backs on the earrings when I change them on that ear.
