I have always been fascinated with piercings and body art, but have always been too chicken to actually get anything done. Until about a month ago I started seriously looking into getting something pierced. Not something huge, but something that had a unique edge, that no one else had. After some research, I finally decided that an orbital was what I wanted. After some convincing, my mom said it was okay, as long as I didn't get my boobs pierced. I thought that was pretty funny. I asked some friends where they had gotten piercings done, and CNB kept on popping up. So, CNB it was. I made an appointment for the next morning. I was more anxious then nervous. I just wanted to get it over.

The next morning came fast, and I was pumped. My mom still wasn't very fond of the idea, but agreed to drive me there. We pulled in, and i was okay, but I almost died when I opened the door. The place was a mess, the people looked a bit frightening, and to top it off, they had a dog. At this point I wanted to turn around and run, but I was already there, and my friends managed to survive when they got their additions. I signed the forms, I was in the room, it all happened so fast.

She took awhile to examine my ear, but she was finally ready. My friends were at side to hold my hand through the pain, which was surprising not as bad as I anticipated, until the jewelry was put in. It wasn't the needle going through my ear that hurt, but putting the ring through the fresh holes. THAT was the worst. She told me it was done, and I got up took a quick glance in the mirror and said it looked fine, not actually REALLY looking at it. I was too nauseated to think, and I just wanted to go home and take a nap. Best part, it wasn't until a few days after that i found out that my ear bled like crazyyyy, I didn't even notice!

So I fell in love with my piercing after about 2 days, but I noticed that the front stuck out a lot, causing the back to be right up against my skin. Silly me, thought nothing of it and became attached to it, literally. About 2 weeks later, the back started growing over. I was terrified. The day after I discovered this, my friend was going to a different shop to look into a pistol she was getting, so I tagged along to get some help.

I told him what happened and showed him the orbital, and his exact words were "man, they fucked up". Those weren't the most reassuring words of choice, but he assured me I would be fine if I took it out that night, and was even kind enough to remove the ball. He also told me to go and get a refund. He was very nice about it, and didn't make me feel like more of an idiot then i already did for going to some run down shop. I did what he told me that night. Took a long shower, making sure I got all the blood crusties out, and slowly removed the jewelry from my ear. It was fine until i couldn't the ring all the way out, and it was kind of in that awkward position, so I had no choice but to push the rink back in my ear. It was the weirdest feeling.

The next day I went back to CNB and told the lady that pierced my ear that she messed up, and she insisted that she didn't. We had a verbal battle and told me I would not be given a refund because i was so rude, even though she was the one that started using her "outside voice". Then she told me that if she DID mess up, it was probably because she had long, fake nails on. I'm pretty sure that was the stupidest thing she could have said. My sister, spoke up, defending me, and the crude lady scowled her and said she had no right to talk. ha. My sister and I left and the mean old woman started talking to my mom, and gave HER a refund. She also told my mother that they were probably going to close down because of all the complaints they were receiving. Thank God.

That was quite an eventful month. Moral of the story, don't be an idiot like me and choose the place that only a few people have recommended. Go check it out for yourself, and if it doesn't meet your standards, go to the next place. Be very picky, or else you'll end up with some nice scars. I was one of the lucky people.
