Well guys, I'm back yet again, and I assume if you are reading this you are thinking about a Daith Piercing. Well, this one was next on my list of fantastic piercing I planned on getting in my ears. I had it all mapped out - Rook left ear (done), daith right ear (Just done), next is conch left ear and maybe an anti-tragus. Watch out Paul, I know you'll read this, I'll be back hehe.

I arrived at Paul's shop about 15 minutes after he opened, and he greeted me with a "Up for some more pain are we?"
"Hell yeah" I said, and I did the usual ritual of signing and filling out the papers.
Now you don't have time to get nervous sitting around waiting at Flesh Impressions, its pretty much straight in, which is good if you are a little nervous, but I kind of have gotten over all that. Anyway, we went in the piercing room and while he was getting everything ready and setting up, washing hands etc, we chatted for a few minutes. He warned me that this piercing would take a little longer and be a little bit more fiddly than the last one (the rook) because of the awkward position it was, but I was kinda thinking that might be the case, so I just grit my teeth, closed my eyes, and waited for it. Now, I won't lie to you, it did hurt, but think about it, or course it would, if you think it won't a little bit, your going in with misconceptions, but everyone has different pain tolerances, and although it was painful, it was definately bearable, and thus why I continue to go back for more.
It took quite a few minutes to get the needle in and around the tight area (Paul used a bent needle of course), and while I thought it was all over (silly me) I realised I was lying there with a big ass needle sticking out of my ear. I'm glad I didn't see that, that probably would've freaked me out, I'm not really a needlephobic anymore, but that would've been a spin out.
A few minutes later and the ring was being threaded through. I didn't really feel that too much, my ear was throbbing a tad anyway, the ball of the ring was another few minutes of fiddling, but that was okay aswell, then Paul cleaned my ear ( I bled a little bit), probably still alcohol in my system from the weekend before, it was a big night, and I stood up off the bed, feeling okay.
Paul handed my a little mirror and I had a look at my latest addition. There were two people waiting in the waiting room, the guy peeked around to have a look at what I just had done. I don't mind that, I like showing off my piercings, they are what makes me individual, and although my mother, husband and just about everyone else I know thinks I'm made, I love them, and I will probably run out of places to pierce soon because I can't get anymore facial piercings due to work not liking them at all, but so far so good, they haven't said anything bad about my many metal pieces in my ears, so hopefully it'll be okay.
I went out and paid Paul as usual, and because I had aftercare left over from my rook piercing a few weeks before, I didn't need that again. I then left pleased that I can tick off another mod I had just got off my list. Next one, Left Conch.
The 40 or so minutes drive home was okay too, hardly hurt at all, must be getting use to them I think, when I got home, I gave it a little clean, and made sure it didn't bleed on the way home, nothing worse than having blood sitting in your ear to turn the customers away.
Its the next day now, and I can hardly feel it. I'm not game to sleep on that side for a while, although I can sleep on my rook already, and although technically its not close to healed, it feels great, and really feels like it has healed. My Daith is not swollen or anything, although I've found that all of my piercing have been healing quite well lately thank goodness (touch wood).
Anyway, that is my Daith Piercing experience at yet again Flesh Impressions on the Gold Coast. I love going to the same place each time, and now would not go anywhere else, and if you are on the Gold Coast (especially all you schoolies out there heading to the Coast next month), head over to Paul at Flesh Impressions and he'll take care of you. A piercing is a great reminder and momento for you to finish high school with, hey, I got my fourth lobes then, yeah, nothing special, but it was 12 years ago.
And Paul, I'll be back soon for a conch piercing, because, I'm addicted, and its alot cheaper than any other addiction out there.
Happy piercing everyone
