I love stretching my lobes. I love the sensation of the weight and the slightly tight pinch of a new, bigger gauge. I love the way my ear lobes look. Every time I gauge up, I find myself more attractive, more beautiful.

Designs Location Alabama For my sixteenth birthday, my friend, who has asked to remain nameless, gave me a pair of six gauge pinchers. I was a ten gauge at the time and I just couldn't wait to get those big acrylic pink and white striped pinchers through my lobes. But I waited, because I figured I shouldn't rush things like that. So I kept my captive bead rings in for a while until I realized that I didn't have any eight gauge retainers or anything. This was a problem. I dislike skipping sizes unless totally necessary, and I figure I could find something around an eight gauge before I went completely nuts.
I poked around my house until I found a soft plastic bracelet. It looked to be a bit bigger than my CBRs but smaller than the sixes, so I thought "why not?". I broke off two inch long pieces and inserted them one by one into my lobes with the help of some A&D antibacterial ointment. They were a bit tight, but I had no real discomfort upon inserting them, so I went about my business.
Two weeks later, the makeshift plugs were having trouble staying in my ears without the assistance of some o-rings (which I did not have, so I had to make do with some no-snag hair rubber bands that I borrowed from a hairdresser friend) so I figured it was about time to put in the six gauges.
I set up like I normally do. I washed my hands with antibacterial soap, set out my A&D, paper towels, the jewelry, and anything else I might need for the procedure. I removed the bracelet piece and put the ointment lubricated pincher and pushed.
Nothing happened.
Oh....kay... Let's try that again.
I got the pincher in a bit and then.... nothing. I couldn't get a good grip on the ointment coated acrylic. The friend who gave the pinchers was sitting next to me and I asked her if she could get a good grip on it. She tried but to no avail. I sat and thought for a while, and then suggested that we go to the local tattoo and piercing place. She was reluctant to go because she didn't think they would stretch my ears because I'm a minor. I was a little worried, but I talked her into taking me to the shop on the slight hope that they would do it anyway.
As we pulled up to the shop, another thought hit me- what if they charged to stretch my ears? I had a couple of dollars with me, but I didn't think it would be enough.
We walked into the shop and were immediately greeted by a woman sitting on a couch reading a magazine. I asked her how much it would be for a stretch, and she said she'd ask. A minute later, she walked back out with a very bushy man who asked me what I was looking for. I told him I had the jewelry and that I just needed it to be inserted. He looked at me funny, but shrugged and told me to follow him.
He asked me to sit in the dentist's chair in the center of the room. He got out his equipment and began laying out his ointment and my jewelry. As he was setting up, he was telling me about he gauged from a ten to a triple zero in one week. I noticed his torn left lobe and decided that I'd never gauge up that fast. In the middle of a laugh at something goofy he'd said, I had one pincher through. I hadn't even noticed him removing the bracelet piece!
He told me to take a deep breath and while I was still inhaling, he pushed it through. He put on the o-rings and sent me on my way.
I returned to the waiting area and showed my friend, who complained that I was now a gauge larger than she and told me that I would have to let her borrow the pinchers once I gauged up again. I told her that I might, and we stayed and chatted with the piercer and the woman who greeted us. She told us about her backpiece and her sleeve that we were working on, and then we left.
I've been taking a lot of care of my sixes and I'm probably going to buy some two gauge silicone flesh tunnels. I hope I can get them through my lobes... and if I can't... well, I'll do it anyway.
Until then....
