When I'm bored, I like to look at BME. One day I came across a Helix to Rook industrial, and thought to myself, that's pretty damn rad. I should get that done. I've never seen anyone with it before! After thinking about it and getting the money together I finally went to have it done.

I wanted to soo bad though. Larox is a very clean shop and the people are awesome as hell. I walked into Larox and told the girl what I wanted. She looked at me like I was crazy, she didn't know what I met or if it was even possible to get it done. Nothing is impossible when it comes to body modification. She didn't really have to go over the healing and cleaning process with me because I had done ear piercings like this so many more times before.I didn't have any questions cuz I read about piercings and read the healing processes. Danielle then came out and she looked over my ear and was like "Hell yes I can do that, but your going to need to have 2 hoops at 1st for the healing process." Danielle is a very good piercer and a friend of a friend. I told her I didn't mind the two seperate hoops and that I can wait a little while till I get the one hoop put in. They got all my information and I waited about for a while looking around at all the tattoos and talking to the Hot tattoo artist Josh.
Finally I was called back. She cleaned my ear, pinned my hair back and began to dot where the hole would be. She got the 1st hole marked on my Helix, asked me if I liked where it was and continued on. But now comes the hard part, my rook. And getting the two to line up. She took pipe cleaner and was bending it to see which angle would work best for when I got one hoop put in instead of two seperate ones. It took her one hour to line everything up correctly. Finally she started to put the needle through on the count of 3 and when I take a deep breath and exhale. Of course like my conch and my daith, it was only pressure as she shoved the needle through my helix. It didn't hurt that bad. Just the fact that you have to go through it again 3 minutes later is what freaked me out. My ear was already hot and red. It took her a little while for her to decided which way would be best for the needle to go through my rook since its such a weird angle. Again, only pressure..but I wasn't breathing, Danielle had to remind me to do it. She hooked the hoops together and tada I was done. It went with no problems.
Now comes the putting in one hoop into two seperate holes. I went in to Larox about 6 weeks later..my ear still being kinda sore from where people bump into me or give me hugs. I take that back..It was still very sore. But I wanted to get this done so bad. I went in and had the holes measured to see how the hoop would have to fit in there. They custom made me a hoop to fit my ear. Because Larox makes all its own jewlery. After about 20 minutes of waiting for the Jewellry to be made, my friend Dave(the other piercer) called me back. He sat me on a table and started to take the hoops out. It HURT SO BAD! I mean..out of all my stretching and my 5 other piercings..nothing hurt this bad. The he started to put the hoop in..in which I grabbed the table and repeatedly said "f*ck f*ck f*ck." I almost started crying, which isnt usual for me and getting pierced. He got the hoop through..but..now he had to get the balls screwed on..he dropped them 3 times before getting them on because of the angle and his big hands. Needless to say that hurt more than any piercing ever.
The next day my ear had swelled up and didnt look normal AT ALL. I couldn't smile or laugh without going "ow ow ow." I went back in and the told me to put a warm compress on it and to just keep cleaning it and if it wasnt normal in a week go get some anti-biotics and it'll heal right up. It went away after a few days and now my ear is fine. The prices I pay to look cool.
